NoMa, short for "North of Massachusetts Ave," is an up and coming neighborhood in Washington, DC, known for its walkable streets and homes near Harris Teeter. Before the 1990's, there wasn't much to the neighborhood but a Greyhound station. In the 90's, a flurry of urban planning activity re-envisioned this area as a walkable oasis convenient to Metro and other amenities. More hotels, apartments, and condos are planned for the coming years, and NoMa real estate is an excellent long-term investment.
